Dr. Michael Herr - Veterinarian
Dr. Michael Herr is the owner of the Adrian Animal Clinic. Following graduation from Michigan State University in 1971, Dr. Herr returned to his hometown of Adrian to begin his career in Veterinary Medicine. Starting as an employee of the Adrian Animal Clinic, followed by a business partnership, he became the sole owner in 1986.
The practice of Veterinary Medicine has always been and continues to be a passion for Dr. Herr, no two days are ever the same. The challenges and surprises of veterinary practice are the energy that drives his urge to continuously improve. The opportunity to address every client as an unique individual and service the needs of their pet companions has provided Dr. Herr a very enjoyable and satisfying career.
Married to wife Nancy, with 5 children and 9 grandchildren. Home front companions include canine home protectors "Lola" and "Lilly", plus two pasture pony ornaments know as "Dina" and "Raymond".
Outside activities include gardening, landscaping and Adrian area athletic events, involving local high schools and colleges. Additionally, he is a long time Detroit Lion season ticket holder which has taught him to become a very patient man.
Gwen Ruesink - Licensed Veterinary Technician
I have been employed at the Adrian Animal Clinic since August of 1972. I became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in April 1978. I have a deep passion for veterinary medicine. I love working with the pets and their owners. I have three dogs, Marci, Ella and Tess, 2 horses Romeo and Roy, 3 ponies George, Penny and Cowboy, 5 cats, 5 rabbits, and several chickens.
Courtney Anderson - Veterinary/Technician Assistant
I have been working at the Adrian Animal Clinic for 4 years. I graduated from Grand Valley State University with a degree in Psychology.
My passion is helping animals and enjoy working with their owners. I have a horse named Chevy, a flock of Suffolk sheep, a beagle named Pudge, and a Labrador named Trig.

I started at the Adrian Animal Clinic in Sept. 2014 as the Brusher/Bather. It has always been my passion to work with animals. An opportunity came when I met Dr. Herr with my sick pet. I took the position, and it has been a very rewarding and fulfilling experience.
Melanie Earley - Receptionist
I started working at the Adrian Animal Clinic in October of 2015. I love to read, going to the theater and traveling. I have one dog named Phoebe.
Stephanie Slocum - Client Service Phone Operator
I have worked for the Adrian Animal Clinic for over a year. I have always been drawn to animals, especially dogs. A dog has been part of my life since I was one. I have a background in massage therapy where I studied and practiced pet massage. Helping animals heal and overcome ailments, I have a passion for. If I could, I would adopt every dog who needed a home. Big dogs are my favorite.
Wanda Foley - Animal Caregiver
My interests are sewing, flower gardening, cooking and of course eating. I enjoy research of all kinds and learning new things. Though technology can be challenging for me, I do enjoy it.
I love animals, I am more drawn to dogs, but I enjoy them all. We share our home with 2 Yorkies of whom we adore.
I love warm sunny days, and being down south. Spring is my favorite time of the year, It's like a new beginning.
Ashley Kimmitt - Receptionist
Ashley is a student at Baker College of Jackson. She is pursuing a career as Veterinary Technician. We are glad to have her on our team.
